ROCHESTER - Toshiko "Tosh" Horton died on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at the age of 81, after a long illness at home with family in Gonic. Tosh was born October 15, 1936 in Japan, the daughter of Kei and Tobio Hayashida.
Tosh was predeceased by her husband of 54 years Roger Lawrence Horton, three brothers, and one sister.
Roger and Tosh met in Okinawa, Japan, where he was stationed with the Marines. They soon married, moved to the United States, and made their life in Somersworth.
Tosh worked in the shoe factories in Somersworth, Janco, and J-Pac Corporation. She quickly obtained her American Citizenship, which made her very proud.
Toshiko's life was centered on family, the most important thing in her life. She is survived by one daughter, Sarah, and three sons, Roger, Robert, and Richard. She is also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She spent many weekends with her grandchildren playing miniature golf, or in the backyard, and shopping.
