Transient released on PR following knife wielding incident near eatery

ROCHESTER - A Rochester transient was arrested on May 6 after allegedly screaming at people and swinging a knife in the area of Columbus Avenue and South Main Street near Jimmy Jones restaurant.

No threats were made with the knife, no one was hurt and no charges are forthcoming, Rochester Police Capt. Todd Pinkham said on Wednesday.

When officers arrived they located Grant Ohlson, 43, who had an active bench warrant for the original charges of driving after revocation/suspension and criminal trespass.

Ohlson was released on personal recognizance bail with a court date of June 6 at Dover District Court.
