Trio of Lebanon seniors among Noble High's Top Ten

Congratulations to Noble High Seniors from Lebanon ranked in school's Top Ten.

Jake Martel, son of Karen and Jeff Martel, of Lebanon, is the third ranking student in the class of 2017 and a summa cum laude graduate. He was a member of the National Honor Society, the varsity wrestling team, and the varsity soccer team all four years, serving as captain for both sports his senior year. Jake was one of only seven Maine students to receive the Maine Sports Hall of Fame Scholarship. Jake plans to attend the University of Virginia to study kinesiology and to wrestle at the collegiate level. He also plans to attend graduate school. He would like to thank his parents, friends, coaches, and teachers for all of their support.

Devin Whitmore, son of Joe and Deirdre Whitmore, of Lebanon, is the sixth ranking student in the class of 2017 and a summa cum laude graduate. Devin received the French Student of the Year award and he was crowned " the Verb King." He was a member of the National Honor Society, and he attended the University of New Hampshire's lecture series, Project Search. Devin also served as a mentor to numerous underclassmen, all while working at Jimmy Jones Locker in Rochester, N.H. Devin plans to attend North Carolina State University to study aerospace engineering.

Jordan Lister, daughter of Scott and Bridget Lister, of Lebanon, is the 10th ranking student in the class of 2017 and is a magna cum laude graduate. She received the Maine College of Art Book Award, numerous Scholastic Art Awards, the Liberty Graphics Art Scholarship, the Natural Environment Scholarship, as well as the School of the Art Institute of Chicago's Distinguished Scholar Scholarship. She was selected to attend Dirigo Girls' State and was chosen as the Honored Chemistry Student of the year as a junior. Jordan also earned the S.E.A.L. (Social Studies and English, Arts and World Languages) Diploma Endorsement by enrolling and excelling in required S.E.A.L. courses. Jordan participated in the Odyssey of the Mind, the National Honor Society, and the fall musical. Jordan plans to attend the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, to earn a bachelor's degree in fine arts in Studio. She hopes to pursue a career as a prop maker for theater or film.
