Buoyed by a heavy voter turnout in Milton, Rochester and throughout the Granite State, political outsiders Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders cruised to easy victories on Tuesday.

Late results showed Democratic presidential hopeful Sanders, the first candidate of Jewish descent to win a primary, amassing near 60 percent of the vote to former presumptive nominee Hillary Clinton's 40 percent.

To the chants of "Bernie, Bernie" before a raucous crowd at his campaign headquarters Sanders boomed, "Thank you, New Hampshire."

"Together we have sent a message that will echo from Wall Street to Washington ... and that is that the government of our great country belongs to all the people and not just a handful of wealthy campaign contributors and their super -pacs."

In Milton Sanders trounced the former first lady, U.S. Senator and Secretary of State 406 votes to 220.

Meanwhile, nonconformist and politically incorrect Republican frontrunner Donald Trump showed naysayers once and for all that not only would his supporters pack huge arenas to hear him speak, but they would show up at the polls, too.

In Milton, Trump grabbed 392 votes, compared to his closest competitor, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who garnered 181.

Trump, amid banner waving and "Trump" chanting supporters at a victory party, began his speech with his oft-said mantra, "We are going to make America great again" to raucous cheers.

He then congratulated Sanders, but followed that up with, "He wants to give away our country, but we wish him well."

Opening with a very private moment, the brash, billionaire businessman paid homage to his late parents and brother and thanked his family for all their support.

Another surprise in the Republican vote was the fresh face of affable, nonattacking gentleman John Kasich, who took second in New Hampshire, just ahead of Cruz and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, who took home 96 votes in Milton.

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio was fourth (56 in Milton) followed by New Jersey Gov. and Union Leader choice Chris Christie (41 Milton), who will likely drop out of the race.

Dr. Ben Carson (32 Milton) finished far behind and didn't even stay in the state for the voting.

The biggest loser could've been Christie, who spent more time in the Granite State than any other candidate.
