'Trumpet Kings' take center stage at ROH show on Sunday

ROCHESTER - The Rochester Opera House will present Trumpet Kings: A Tribute to America's Great Trumpeters on Sunday at 5 p.m.

Boston trumpet virtuoso Jay Daly blows audiences away in Trumpet Kings, a concert show featuring his amazing renditions of all-time popular trumpet solos from the 20th century.

Daly conceived and wrote the show to celebrate the work of the "kings" of the instrument who recorded #1 hits that continue to delight listeners. Backed by the powerful New Hampshire Jazz Orchestra directed by Clayton "Skip" Poole, eventgoers will enjoy a trumpet thrill ride through the 20th century with hits from the likes of Louis Armstrong, Harry James, Bix Beiderbecke, Roy Eldridge, Al Hirt, Chuck Mangione, Maynard Ferguson, Herb Alpert, and more.
