ROCHESTER - Police arrested a Berwick man on Tuesday on five counts of second degree assault in connection with a single-car Dover Road crash in March in which five, including minors, were injured; some in the car were said to be on drugs at the time of the crash.

Kyle Hendrickson, 22, of Berwick Maine, was remanded to Strafford County Jail pending his arraignment later today in Strafford County Superior Court.

The March 3 crash occurred around 5:25 a.m. in the area of Briar Ridge Estates.

When Emergency personnel arrived, they located the vehicle, a 2005 Cadillac CTS, off the side of the road and into a wooded area. The vehicle had sustained heavy damage and appeared to have rolled over before coming to rest upright on all four wheels.

Emergency personnel learned there were six occupants between the ages of 15 and 21, five of whom were taken to different hospital dependent on their various injuries; one was airlifted to a Boston hospital with serious injuries.

Police also arrested Kyle Tondreau, 22, of Rochester for allegedly facilitating a drug or underage alcohol house party, a Misdemeanor level offense. Tondreau was released on personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to be arraigned at the Rochester District Court on Jan. 25.

Tondreau was convicted of the same offense back in 2018. That conviction was based on an investigation stemming from a Feb. 1, 2017 motor vehicle accident where an 18-year old pedestrian was struck and killed on Gonic Road.
