ROCHESTER - Two youngsters were injured and the driver of their vehicle was cited in a three-car crash on Tuesday at the intersection of Washington Street and Estes Road.

The accident was first called in around 4:35 p.m.

Police say a preliminary investigation indicated that a 2012 Chrysler being driven by Sarah Celley, 34, of 100 Briar Drive in Rochester, stopped at the stop sign on Estes Road facing southbound before proceeding into the intersection and being struck on the passenger side by an eastbound 2011 Kia, which was operated by Angela Routhier.

This caused Celley’s vehicle to spin around and collide with a 2004 Chevy Silverado which had stopped at the stop sign on Estes Road facing northbound, police say. The Silverado was operated by Cory Meserve.

All three vehicles suffered significant damage and had to be towed from the scene.

Two juveniles that were traveling with Celley suffered minor facial injuries and were transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Celley was charged with failing to yield to oncoming traffic.
