ROCHESTER - Veronica Mattocks, 71, died on Wednesday, June 26, at Frisbie Memorial Hospital following a period of failing health. Born April 3, 1953, in Greensboro, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Erwin and Elizabeth (Godfrey) Fall.

She was a lifelong resident of Rochester and spent her teenage years growing up with the best Rochester had to offer. Sunset and Humoresque roller skating and Royals Pizza. She was a graduate of Spaulding High School. She worked as an LNA at Rochester Manor, a career suited to her compassionate nature. She went on to be a wife and Mom, her most treasured roles in life.

She enjoyed fishing with family and friends and was always excited to make the big catch, it never mattered the size. She just loved time well spent.

Her other hobbies included canning for herself and sharing with friends and family, sewing beautiful quilts, wood burning and enjoying whatever came her way. Her other love was her little companion "Pickles". She enjoyed the time spent laughing at his antics or just sitting enjoying her kitty companionship.

Members of her family include her beloved husband, William Mattocks of Rochester; her 3 sons Erwin McCarthy of S.C., Eric McCarthy of Rochester and Cory Mattocks of Union; 3 grandchildren Haley, Shiloh and Aiden and 2 sisters; Melanie Abbott and Joyce Fall of Maine. She was predeceased by her much-loved brothers Donald Beadle and Joseph Fall of Lebanon Maine, and sister Vicky Dore, Maine and many Nieces and Nephews.
