Victim of New Boston officer-involved shooting was near Space Force facility

CONCORD - The Attorney General's office announced on Monday that the victim in the officer-involved shooting that took place in New Boston on Friday resulted in the death of a Massachusetts man.

The deceased was identified as Michael Foley, 33, of Massachusetts. No hometown was given.

The incident unfolded around 11:30 p.m. on an access road to the New Boston Space Force Station located off of 317 Chestnut Hill Road and involved a New Boston police officer and a contract security guard.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain actively under investigation. No further information will be released until after those involved have their formal interview.
