PALM HARBOR, Fla. - Victor Cardosi Jr., 82 of Palm Harbor, Florida passed away April 1, 2014. He was born in Cambridge, Mass., the son of Victor and Lorna. His brother, William predeceased him.

Raised and educated in Rochester, he served in the Air Force during the Korean War Conflict. He graduated cum laude from the University of New Hampshire and from the Graduate School of Savings Banking at Brown University. He also was a graduate of the American Institute of Banking. He retired as the Senior Vice President of Southeast Bank for Savings in Dover. Vic was a former trustee of Frisbee Memorial Hospital in Rochester. He served as President of the United Way of Strafford County, director of the Dover-Durham Rotary Club and was a former Deacon of the Wells Congregational Church in Wells, Maine. After retiring, Vic was a substitute teacher for 15 years in the Pinellas County School System.

He coached Babe Ruth Baseball for many years in Rochester, winning a New England Championship.

Besides his wife, Marthalie (Marty), survivors include his children Rick Cardosi of Ocklawaha, Fla.; Lynn Coppola of Auburn; Kim Cardosi-Grant of Farmington. He leaves two step children: Robert Prince of South Portland, Maine and Stephanie Prince of West Palm Beach, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
