Vietnam Memorial dedication will be part of Veterans Day recognition

LEBANON, Maine - The Lebanon Historical Society is holding a dedication of the Vietnam Monument on Sunday, Nov. 11 at 2 p.m. at the Lebanon Town Offices lawn on Upper Guinea Road.

The Lebanon Boy Scouts of America Troop #369 will lead a Color Guard and Pledge of Allegiance. Jeremy Lord will introduce the speakers Pastor Bob Andrews from the First Parish Congregational Church, Selectman Chip Harlow, and Legion Commander Jim Cray.

The Society wishes to thank all those who donated to make this monument possible. Thanks also goes to Stuart, Torno and Stuart for supplying the stone the plaque is placed on. Thanks also go to the committee Marilyn Bolduc, Jeremy Lord, Henry Stewart, Steve Woodman and Nancy Wyman for their time in accomplishing this project.

The Town will now have a monument to honor and remember all those men from Lebanon who served in the Vietnam War and give thanks to all who served.

The public is invited to attend and share in this dedication.
