FARMINGTON - Walter E. "Ricky" Riekert Jr., of Waldron Road in Farmington, died Sunday, January 21, 2018 at home. Born December 19, 1949 in Dover, the son of Walter E. Riekert, Sr. and Anna M. (Folger) Riekert, he was a graduate of Dover High School, Class of 1968.
In his younger years, Ricky and his father worked together paving driveways as Riekert's Paving. He had owned and operated a lunch truck, Ricky's Lunch, had worked with Bell & Flynn Construction of Stratham, also worked as a set-up man for World Wrestling Federation. As years passed, he worked for the Town of Farmington and Home Depot in Rochester.
Ricky loved his pets, including Onyx his cat, and he loved motorcycling. He will always be remembered for his laughter that was contagious and his gift of storytelling.
His cousin Steve as his closest family member, who was always there lending a helping hand. He could always count on him.
Members of his family include: aunt and uncle Rose and Tony Rodis of Somersworth; cousins Steve Fall of Rochester, Sandie and Paul Nunziato of Dover, Richard and Julie Fall of Madbury, Diane and Denis Crawford of Somersworth, Donna Hebert of Rochester, John and Sheryl Rodis of Somersworth, Nancy Hager of Dover, Katie and Charles Merritt of Somerworth; many other cousins, nieces and nephews; also his close friends Jeff and Sherri Burleigh of Alton.
