DOVER - A former Rochester man who was slated to be the New Hampshire's Fugitive of the Week surrendered on Tuesday to task force officers at the Strafford County Sheriff's Office.
Karvin Antonio Demby, 47, of Greenland and formerly of Wadleigh Road in Rochester, was set to be featured Wednesday. He was being sought on a Strafford County arrest warrant alleging that he had violated his probation on an underlying narcotics conviction.
Although Demby was scheduled as Fugitive of the Week since Monday, the investigation into his whereabouts continued. It was due to these efforts that members of the N.H. Joint Fugitive Task Force were able to make contact with Demby and arrange his surrender.
Though it's not immediately clear what arrest led to the probation violation, Demby was arrested in Rochester on June 13, 2021, on several such charges including trafficking in meth, fentanyl and cocaine.
He was being held at Strafford County Jail pending his unspecified initial court appearance.
