EAST ROCHESTER - Wayne S. Goldthwaite, 75, died Saturday, March 25, 2017, at his home.
Born January 2, 1942, in Exeter, he is the son of Benjamin A. and Thelma D. (Bunker) Goldthwaite.
He was a resident of East Rochester for 53 years after moving from Lebanon. Maine. He served in the U.S. Air Force as an Airman 1st Class. He worked as an engineer for Expanded Rubber Inc.
Wayne was a member of the Cotton Valley Rail Trail Club and enjoyed collecting lanterns and gardening. He also enjoyed CB radios and stock cars. He earned a General Class license for amateur radios and was a part of the National Muzzle Loaders Rifle Association.
Members of his family include his wife of 52 years Margaret (Dore) Goldthwaite; their sons, Keith C. and wife Jennifer Goldthwaite, Wayne B. and wife Melissa Goldthwaite, and their daughter, Carole J. Goldthwaite Lyons. He also had two brothers Stephen Goldthwaite and the predeceased Karl Goldthwaite. Wayne's family also includes 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church on Main Street in East Rochester.
