West Lebanon man arrested in Maine DV assault

SANFORD, Maine - A West Lebanon man was arrested on Sunday and charged with domestic violence criminal threatening and assault.

According to Sanford Police Deputy Chief Tim Strout, police got a call for a domestic disturbance on King Street in Springvale around 7:25 p.m.

When police arrived they found a woman who reported she had been threatened and assaulted, Strout said.

Richard Fitzgerald, 33, of Prospect Hill Road, was transported to York County Jail where he is being held on no bail, a jail spokesman said today.

Both crimes are misdemeanors punishable by up to a year in jail apiece.
