When Strafford County Commissioners made the decision to transfer Rochester NH, Police Officer Mark Brave to the Strafford County Sheriff's Department, they "FAILED" the process of "Due Diligence."
Due Diligence is a process or effort to collect and analyze information BEFORE making a decision, or conducting a transaction, so a party is NOT held legally liable for any loss or damage. Was Mark Brave's own Resume thoroughly validated by these Officials(?)
The City of Rochester's Citizenry funded Mark Brave's attendance to the New Hampshire Police Academy.
He was also mandated to serve a required amount of time on Rochester PD.
Should he NOT complete this agreement, he would be required to Reimburse the City.
Was this agreement completed when he was transferred to the Sheriff's Department.
If not, how or by whom, was this funding reimbursed.
Furthermore, once he was Transferred, he soon was Laterally moved to Training Officer.
What an affront to Seasoned Officers!
As likely, "always," these officers would be least likely to speak out.
Why? They are fully aware their livelihood depends on their "silence."
The Commissioners were only looking for two blocks in his Resume to be filled to meet their criteria.
You could say the "Operational Guideline," the County Commissioners use is "Semantics."
This is for people who don't know their Subterfuge from their Sub-rosa's !
This has been a Decades long ingrained behavioral problem.
Perhaps Martin Luther King Jr's Dream, today, only serves as a Token Guideline.
A sad tale, for certain.
