To the editor:
Why was a man tragically shot in Minn. shooting?
I ask, were settled law requirements ignored in a Minnesota shooting?
A man was killed while he violently tussled with US Immigration and Customs Officers, (ICE.)
So, let's cut to the chase, and get directly to the core of this tragedy.
Michigan is a "Duty to Inform" State.
Any individual who is licensed to carry a concealed pistol (CPL holder) who is carrying a weapon and is stopped by a peace officer must immediately "disclose" that fact to the officer.
This applies whether the pistol is on their person or in their vehicle.
The Concealed Pistol License (CPL) must be carried on the person.
Not carrying one is an offense in itself!
Politicians and the media have overused the term "Settled Law," for decades, to justify their meaningless ideological rants!
I've never seen or heard any of them bring the "Duty to Inform Law," which is an actual Settled Law, to any argument!
Shameless
