ROCHESTER - Wilfred "Bill" Burr, of Rochester, died Wednesday, January 24, 2018, having celebrated his 90th birthday on January 22. Born in Melrose, Mass., he had been a resident of Rochester since 1953.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Glenice Burr; three sons, Wilfred Burr, Les Burr, Gary Burr; one daughter Laurie Burr; and many grandchildren; great grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
He was a paratrooper serving in World War II and the Korean Conflict, former Business Manager of Local 1837 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, and retired from Public Service of New Hampshire.
