ROCHESTER - Wilfred J. Langlois, 89, died Tuesday, April 14, 2020 after complications from a stroke. He was born in Newmarket July 22, 1930 the son of Nelson and Lelia (Gavin) Langlois and lived in Rochester.

Survivors include his wife Loretta (Laroche) Langlois, son Denis and wife Robin, daughter Sheila Gowen and Husband Tom, and his four grandchildren Nicolette, Andrea and her husband Tyler, Crystal and her husband Dan, Doug and his fiancé Katie, along with two great-grandchildren Madilyn and Beckett and several nieces and nephews and one brother.

He worked in several shoe shops and he owned two laundromats in Rochester and was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Hoy Rosary Church. Wilfred loved God and attended Holy Mass daily. He loved his family and his greatest joy was whenever they could all spend time together.

He traveled all over the world with his wife and took trips to the islands with his daughter and camping, hunting and fishing with his son. He hunted until he was 81 years old. He was an avid swimmer, at the pool, or at the lake during family outings to Fernald Shore and Lake Wentworth.

He enjoyed playing all kinds of games. He was very creative and worked with his hands like his scale model boats of the Robert E. Lee and the Queen Mary. He made stained glass and taught his daughter this craft. He did carpentry and was proud to help his son build his log home.

You never met a happier and friendlier man. He could light up a room with his smile from sunrise to sunset and make people laugh with his sense of humor.

He was a beloved husband, Dad and Pepere to us all. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
