MILTON - After watching the Pats wade through three disappointing losses during which they scored an average of fewer than seven points a game, I decided I shouldn't have to prepare my own meal and watch another dreadful disaster, so I ordered a grilled chicken salad from the Pizza Nook.
And lo and behold the Patriots won in a nailbiter 29-25.
Just like the Patriots, the grilled chicken salad was a winner, with beautifully seasoned huge chunks of white meat chicken, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions and fresh lettuce.
Running just behind the flavor parade evidenced by the chicken was the Nook's special House dressing, which is pretty much incomparable.
In fact a few weeks ago when I wanted a salad delivered to my home they said deliveries required a minimum $15 order, so I had them bring the bill up to $15 with extra containers of the dressing, and I was enjoying that for a week's worth of salads.
The salads at the Nook are huge and easily last a pair of meals. At around $14 with tax, you really can't lose.
And I'll likely be buying a grilled chicken salad at the Nook every Patriots Game Day as long as they don't lose, too.
The Pizza Nook is located across from Milton Garage in downtown Milton. They can be reached at 603.652.9066
