ROCHESTER - A Rochester Police Patrol Officer with less than three years on the job was awarded the department's 2025 Police Officer of the Year Award earlier this month.
Tiana Adams, who was recognized during a Police Commission meeting on March 4, "was nominated by her peers," said Rochester Police Chief Gary Boudreau, "which means a lot."
He added that Adams was well-known for her commitment to "try to improve every day and build relationships within the community."

Turning to her efforts among the city's youth, Boudreau noted that Adams has taken on a role as adviser to the city's police cadet program.
"Her work product is consistently some of the best on her shift and her investigations are thorough and precise," Boudreau added.
Also honored during the brief ceremony inside City Council Chambers were Ed Cilley as Support Person of the Year and Rochester Police Detective Justin Livingstone, who was awarded the Chief Theodore Blair Memorial Award.
