WM sends out advisory regarding city trash pickups

ROCHESTER - Waste Management of New Hampshire recently sent out a request for all trash to be put inside of bags inside of toters. This does not include recycling. Recycling is to be commingled and no plastic bags should be included in the recycling container.

Also disposable rubber gloves are not recycling and should be put inside bags and disposed of in the toter used for trash.

Meanwhile, Waste Management has extended the Residential Drop-Off Facility Hours for the week of March 23-28. They will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.. Fees for bags and/or stickers for household trash has been waived for this week as well.

The City will continue to monitor the need for additional hours as this situation is assessed in the weeks ahead.
