ONCORD - An unidnetified woman was killed in a Concord apartment house fire on Tuesday.
The fire broke out around 6:30 p.m. drawing Concord firefighters to 151 Manchester St. to investigate reports that a person was trapped on the second floor.
The first arriving crews reported intensive flames coming from the second floor and began efforts to extinguish the blaze.
During a search, an adult female was located deceased on the second floor. The victim was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy today to verify their identity and confirm their cause and manner of death.
The fire was determined to be under control around 8 p.m.
Members of the American Red Cross responded to the scene to assist residents displaced as a result of the fire.
The New Hampshire State Fire Marshal's Office and the Concord Fire Department are actively investigating the origin and cause of the fire.
