ROCHESTER - Police say a Strafford woman was driving drunk when she crashed her car into two other vehicles on the 202 bypass near Milton Road then left the scene and crashed into another car in Roger Allen Park before being arrested for DWI on Wednesday.

Rochester Police first responded to the area of Milton Road by the 202 bypass around 7:50 p.m. for the report of an erratic 2001 Subaru Legacy, later identified as being driven by Cherylyn Thorne, 26.

It was reported that this vehicle struck two other vehicles while on the 202 bypass: a 2013 Subaru XVC being driven by Jonathan Fredholm, 33, of Chelsea, Vt., and a 2014 Hyundai Elantra being driven by Brian Scott, 37, from East Rochester.

The Subaru Legacy left the scene and was later located at the Roger Allen Park where it struck an unoccupied vehicle in the parking lot, police say. The Subaru then left the scene as responding officers were arriving at the park and drove past several responding police cruisers with lights on without stopping.

As the Subaru exited the park, it spun out into a side road embankment where the vehicle stopped.

Officers arrested Thorne for aggravated driving while intoxicated, reckless operation x 2, transportation of alcohol, conduct after an accident x 3 and disobeying an officer and traffic control devices, all misdemeanors or violations.

Thorne was taken to Strafford County Jail where she was held on $3,500 cash bail pending arraignment today at Rochester District Court.

Thorne and Scott's vehicle sustained heavy damage and needed to be towed from the scene.

No injuries were reported in any of the accidents.
