ROCHESTER - Two motorists were injured, one seriously, in a two-car crash at the intersection of Farmington Road and the east side of the Spaulding interchange on Wednesday night.

The crash occurred around 8:45 p.m., when officers learned Kevin Deely, 57, of New Durham, in a 2012 Toyota Corolla, was turning left onto Farmington Road after getting off at the Spaulding Turnpike northbound interchange and was struck by a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe headed east into town.

The Tahoe then lost control and overturned as it went down an embankment.

Harold Hill, 27 of Rochester, who was driving, sustained what were described as minor injuries, but an unnamed female passenger in the SUV was ejected and suffered what were described as serious but nonlife threatening injuries, according to safety officials.

Both were taken to Frisbie Memorial Hospital.

Neither occupant of the Tahoe was wearing their seat belts.

Deely, who was wearing his seat belt, suffered only minor injury.

Both cars had to be towed from the scene due to significant damage.

A portion of Farmington Road eastbound was closed for about an hour.

The intersection where the collision occurred is controlled by a traffic light, and Rochester Police are asking anyone with information about the collision to contact Officer Brittney Marvin at 603-330-7128.
