GONIC - A Center Barnstead woman was arrested for drunken driving after her car crashed into a utility pole on Flagg Road early today.

The crash occurred in the area of 141 Flagg Road around 1:45 a.m. when a 2013 Ford Fiesta driven by Rachel Warner, 27, was traveling southeast and left the roadway striking the pole causing it to split near its base.

Warner was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with what were described as minor injuries. Officers later arrested Warner at the hospital and charged her with driving or operating under the influence of drugs or liquor. She was released on personal recognizance with an arraignment later this month in Rochester District Court.

Meanwhile utility crews were expected to be at the scene of the crash for several hours replacing the pole.

If anyone has any information about the crash they are asked to contact Officer Williams-Hurley at the Rochester Police Department at (603) 330-7128.
