ROCHESTER - The city woman who suffered a serious head injury on Sunday when she was struck by a vehicle in the city's downtown remained in critical condition on Thursday, according to a hospital spokesperson.
Police say the accident occurred around 8 a.m. in the area of Strafford Square when Diane Felts, 62, was struck while crossing the street in a crosswalk.
Felts was found unconscious by first responders and transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital with what were described as serious and life threatening injuries.
Strafford Square is located at the intersection of North Main, Walnut and Washington streets.
The Strafford County Regional Technical Accident Reconstruction Team responded to assist with the scene and accident investigation.
Police said impairment did not appear to be a factor in the crash.
