YCSO probing reports of gunplay, beating, hostage taking in Lebanon

LEBANON, Maine - Reports of the brandishing of a firearm and a beating and hostage taking at a residence on Milton Mills Road in Lebanon are being investigated today by the York County Sheriff's Office.
Around midnight, sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a disturbance with initial reports relating that several males, one of whom was brandishing a firearm, had assaulted an individual, according to a statement released today by York County Sheriff William King.
"The anonymous caller continued and described a chaotic scene in which an individual was beaten and was being held as a hostage," King said.
Additional anonymous callers also reported a disturbance had occurred.
Upon arriving Sheriff's Deputies made a tactical approach to the residence and contacted the lawful occupants, who were all found to be uncooperative.
Deputies collected evidence pursuant to a probe into what exactly occurred and whether any laws were broken.
