You can fine Big Pharma all you want ... the cartels are fine with that

It's great to see the justice system going after pharmaceuticals that peddled fentanyl as a safe pain medication, but what they're doing - or not doing - at the southern border is leading to the deaths of far more Americans than any shoddy marketing by Big Pharma.
"Transnational criminal organizations (TCOs) are increasingly producing wholesale quantities of illicit fentanyl pills and smuggling them into the United States," according to a DEA report recently declassified.
The report also states that the Sinaloa and New Generation Jalisco (Cártel de Jalisco Nueva Generación or CJNG) cartels are likely "the primary trafficking groups responsible for smuggling fentanyl into the United States from Mexico."
Even under the wall-building Trump administration most of the fentanyl coming into the United States was from Mexico.
But now it's exponentially worse, thanks to the feeble, pathetic Biden administration which loves open borders providing unfettered access to the cartels to ply their ruthless trade, which is now targeting children with fentanyl-laced pills that look like candy.
When it was announced on Wednesday that pharmaceutical giant Endo will be paying some $450 million to mitigate the damage it did with its deceitful marketing of fentanyl as a safe and effective pain killer we were happy to see the crackdown on such deceptive practices.
"New Hampshire remains committed to taking strong action to hold those responsible for this crisis accountable," said Governor Chris Sununu. "This agreement with Endo will help provide further resources to Granite Staters who have been harmed by their actions."
Indeed, New Hampshire has one of the highest per capita overdose death rates in the country with 379 deaths in 2021 and 479 predicted in 2022, which would be a 26 percent increase over last year.
But the damage done by big pharma is a drop in the bucket compared to the death and carnage wreaked by the Mexican cartels.
If the wall were finished, and Biden ended his brain-dead open borders policy, Border Patrol, ICE, DEA and the FBI would have a shot at curtailing the deadly fentanyl trafficking across our southern border.
But that's not his plan, is it?

We put this at Biden's feet. He's killing Americans while allowing hordes of illegal immigrants who mostly look fat and happy as they get of the bus with their new cell phones we as taxpayers paid for.
The wall should be built, immigration laws that are currently on the books but being ignored should be enforced and the fentanyl-trafficking cartels should be eliminated.
Nearly a million American have died of drug overdoses since 1999, and Biden's reckless border policies are making it even worse.
Considering the ruling against Endo on Wednesday, maybe the goal here is eliminate legal fentanyl sales, because illegal fentanyl trafficking from Mexico is doing quite nicely thank you.
