MILTON - Dustin Gray, who has been the principal at the Garrison School in Dover since July 2006, has been hired as the new Milton Elementary School principal and will sign a three-year deal later today with SAU 64.

“This is a great opportunity for MES to have an experienced and successful administrator,” SAU 64 Superintendent Jay McIntire said today. “A great number of board members, administrators and others took part in the search, and we’re all thrilled he’ll be joining us on July 1.”

Gray holds a master’s in education administration from the University of New Hampshire and was very involved in district technology and math improvement within the Dover school system, McIntire said.

The Garrison School is a kindergarten through fourth-grade facility with an enrollment of about 450 students. The agreement that is expected to be signed today is a three-year pact that pays Gray about $83,000 a year.

McIntire expressed his gratitude to interim Principal Chuck Mills for his efforts in bringing community and school together as well as his anti-bullying initiatives.
