Take your family, school, and friends to the Rochester Opera House on Wednesday, July 10, at 10 a.m. for a delightful ride on the “Streamlined Double Decker Bus” with Julie & Brownie.

The destination is just plain fun on a trip packed with a rare blend of original and traditional songs of positive thoughts for children and their families and teachers.

Children and adults can pack a snack, if you wish. The floor is flat (orchestra seats removed), so there’s lots of room for dancing and singing along.  Bring along a blanket, since seating is limited. This is a great opportunity for field trips.

Together since 1991, Julie and Brownie have been entertaining family audiences throughout the Northeast and Canada with their award-winning fun-filled performances that teach important educational messages to children.

Julie & Brownie aka Brownie Macintosh and Danica Carlson have appeared together on several radio and television programs.  Brownie has composed songs for The Kingston Trio, Nova (PBS) and Atlantic Music Corp. and has appeared on stage with Jay Leno.  Danica has been nominated for two Spotlight Awards for Best Actress and has appeared in five independent films including the Norman Rockwell Code.

This show kicks off the Summer Picnic Series of four shows for children on Wednesdays at 10 a.m., sponsored by Eastern Propane & Oil and Foster’s Daily Democrat.

Reserve tickets by calling or stopping by the box office (603) 335-1992, Monday, Wednesday or Friday from 10-5 and one hour before the show.

For more information, visit RochesterOperaHouse.com. The Rochester Opera House is located in City Hall, 31 Wakefield Street, Rochester N.H.  The Summer Picnic Series continues with Wayne from Maine on July 24. Tickets are $5.
